I think not only for the vocational education but also for our common education, we need pay much more efforts to army us with the soft job skills. We are having kind of stereotype towards the vocational students that they are not good at learning the soft skills but the hard stills because they need the functional skills secure a job. This is totally wrong. We need both desperately. It is like our brains and body. Without disconnections.

I totally agree with the importance of acquiring soft skills for students at different stages. Maybe many of us don’t know what soft skills are. According to Wikipedia, “the definition is Soft skills, also known as power skills, common skills or core skills, are skills applicable to all professions. These include critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, professional writing, teamwork, digital literacy, leadership, professional attitude, work ethic, career management and intercultural fluency.” I think we have a lot of soft skills to learn and improve as far as this definition is concerned, and the TED talks provide interesting information on this.
